    My thought for the day!

Every day is an opportunity to be nice to a fellow human. A time to enjoy the fresh air or the surroundings around us, is enough for anyone to be thankful for. Do we live in a world of unknowns> happenings, relatives, issues, global stuff, etc…? We can’t be too perfect because I don’t believe the word even exists or is possible.

Golf: Imagine yourself in the tee box on a Par 3 hole – you visualize your swing and gauge the wind, thinking or calculating where you should be aiming your ball to land on the green. Always hoping that this is it! This is the hole where I take a good swing – ball sails away freely into the wind/air and guess what?
It lands a few feet before the hole, or better yet, it lands a few feet dead center from where the cup is; however, it lands on top of the hole…..and slowly, the ball starts spinning back and trickles into the circle of____?
Take a guess: 1 swing, 1 ball, 1 hole, 1 green, 1 bounce, and add a few spins and the ball goes into the cup! A hole in One!

    Perfect?

Check your score card because that swing that you took cost you a stroke on the score card and adds a stroke into your final score. Great Shot! I agree!

You decide. As for me – since today is about enjoying our surroundings, people and positivity….I will pat you on the back and whisper softly – THANK YOU for letting me enjoy that moment when you hit your hole in one.

Yay! Word of the Day! I am so grateful for 2 things, take a guess? It is not that easy to find ” friends” amongst friends. That is one. Second, I am caught in between the cool breeze of the east blowing against the warm breath of the west. Fight it or blend with it. I find myself more comfortable with the latter. There is no such easier and more rewarding task than to slowly take in each breath rather than to gasp every split second – just to survive.
Yay again! That makes it even more gratifying. Freedom! Yes, I said ” Yay! ” as well.

Being a philanthropreneur is extremely satisfying. It frees up a lot of my time and eliminates a lot of meetings that most participants find themselves day dreaming anyway.
I keep everything to a minimum! I enjoy what I do! I love my children more than anything in the world. So, don’t ask me about who do I love the most, your partner – your parents – your children. That is lame. What I do know though, is that if a ship is sinking – I will probably be the first one to drown. See- I don’t swim even though I can float for a few minutes without sinking. By the time the ship starts to sink or the intercom has started ” Attention, Attention, All….”, I have already headed to my loved ones cabin or started gathering them towards the small deck boats that you saw in the Titanic or those Norwegian liners.
This position that I hold now, might seem nerve wracking to some; however, I believe that everything comes and goes – like a cycle in your washing machine. Or, a ferris wheel that goes around and around – and all of a sudden, it stops or cycles – to unload and load new people. So, it’s just like our life events.
Well – the work that I do – is based on who and how I help or work with them. It can go on a sliding scale or on a set priced approach. To make things simple, visit my site and please do let me know what you think, ok?

  4. WOW! Got that from several messages from my friends – the funny thing is was that, the word WOW! came as in the very first word of the message. Which to me, kinda made an impact and pushed me back to my seat.
That is part of our Mission – is to woo talents and to WOW all!
I just got off a SKYPE chat and call = discussed things and plans about my ” planned workshops ” in Catalina Islands, Paris, Manila and perhaps – even Japan!

I, for one thing – will not be able to leave the US until I complete my 2 programs at Stanford beginning today , I am excited since I am eager to learn more that will allow me to share more! Isn’t that great? BTW, all these is not about me!

    IT IS ABOUT YOU!

  5. Tuesday is my ” sandwich day ” between evening classes. No sweat, my class next Mon does not meet due to the long weekend holiday. I do have something to share – pretty animating and yet, a lot to think about.

Hope the link works….I’ll keep some notes from a couple classes.
    Will share. Promise.

Saturday was spent catching up on some movies – absolutely admired the story of Benjamin Button. It is catchy – sort of a 1994 movie feel of Forrest Gump. In perspective, I truly believe and will die believing that life is full of moments that we need to filter out and manage through our brain cells. It’s all about capturing the Moments!

Remember the days when all the schools had their own mini-library like the one we had in Xavier School ( Republic of the Philippines). Instead of filing books into different categories, we label our life events and place them in different sectors in our brain ( you pick whether it goes to the left side or the right side). However, I won’t discuss topics about Neuro-linguistic Programming training since I have not been certified and I truly refuse to try to impress you just because…..
What I CAN DO – is to keep you informed, work with you with some exercises once you have completed your initial interview with me.

I am embarking on several trips around the US and Asia to pursue some much needed projects that should have been championed 20 years ago or more.

Until then, I remain, committed to being your guide and provider of good karma! I hope!

  7. With you !

    Stand by me !

New York City, New York City Girl!

    Uptown Girl !

  8. It’s almost 8 o’clock pm eastern and I am here in NYC, quite exhausted actually from the first 2 days that I got here. That is from lack of cardiovascular exercises but after a successful off-site coaching workshop that shifted from the west coast to the trendy east coast counterpart, it became a huge success even. Little do they know that this city has a higher rate of stress related death than where I originally had the workshop planned at.
Meditation is a very important means of de-stressing one’s self and truly taking a long walk with a nice breeze “not blowing ” on you is such a huge lift from being indoor, like Florida or Texas where the humidity takes a huge toll on someone’s health.
IN the mean time, I need to finish my laundry – I did some push ups and sit ups before I embark on my truly first Valentine’s gathering in a long, long while. What’s not to expect since I just came off a divorce 2 years ago. This is such a big event for me that no one can truly imagine how happiness can be measured when someone is sincerely complete and thankful for a long, long list of special people comprised of groups of family, friends, special friends, and a few that you REALLY have loved since the first day you met them.
I am so confident and motivated, I have actually grown to love in a manner which might reflect the way I approach my practice, the way I live, the way I see LIFE as it should be seen, and WOW! – this is a chapter in my journey that will always have a huge part in my life.
    Happy Valentine’s! With Love

  9. Guess what? Love has it’s limits too, just like a friendship that has been taken for granted. I say this, from experience, as well as being involved with so many different backgrounds of research. Dementia, cancer, diabetes, and of course, our aging process. None, of them, easier to cope with than the other. They all bring their own portion of grief, pain and misery to all that are involved; whether, you are the patient or a caring family member.
Try this for size. Someone, who has lived through her first 74 years of living here on Earth, has been so very careful with her diet and absolutely, no vices. It was as if lightning struck so suddenly than, at a the speed of half an eye blink – the person ended in the emergency room because of brain aneurysm. It was so severe that we had to decide the same evening, to drain a hole in her skull to relieve some swelling and massive bleeding.
Talk about life not being fair or whatever you might want to call it, it wasn’t supposed to happen to her. She lived a life full of gratitude to God, constantly paying her dues by praying daily on several hours during the day. Work or no work, you will find the person in possession of religious Catholic material in her belongings.
For now, I am in deep psychological and physiological research about this form of dementia. Mondays are great for me since I have a few more weeks of studies and brainstorming with my dynamic professor.
I would love to share more and was wondering if you can shoot me some messages about any questions or concerns that might or could have been a tremendous burden to you or any family member or acquaintance. Thank you.

  10. Alright, totally uncalled for. Subject – love. Too complex for a blog , even for an expert blogger out there. Gotta choose something for Paris – like things about the Spring time.
There you go, this is old but catchy – Spring Time in Paris. Happens to fall on my workshop @ http://www.ohmy-coach.com.
    WOW!
    I’d say!

    Paris , France
Thank you for the Information by Rough Guides.

Long considered the paragon of style, Paris is the most glamorous city in Europe. It is at once deeply traditional – a village-like metropolis whose inhabitants continue to be notorious for their hauteur – and famously cosmopolitan. While such contradictions and contrasts may be the reality of any city, they are the makings of Paris: consider the tiny lanes and alleyways of the Quartier Latin or Montmartre against the monumental vistas from the Louvre to La Défense; the multiplicity of street markets and old-fashioned pedestrian arcades against the giant underground commercial complexes of Montparnasse and Les Halles; or the aristocratic wealth of the grand quarters against the vibrant chaos of the poorer districts.

At times, Paris can feel inhumanly magnificent, the arrogance of its monuments encompassing the chilly pomp of the Panthéon, the industrial chic of the Eiffel Tower and the almost spiritual glasswork of the Louvre pyramid. Yet it also operates on a very human scale, with exquisite, secretive little nooks tucked away from the Grands Boulevards and very definite little communities revolving around games of boules and the local boulangerie and café. And even as Paris’s culture is transformed by its large immigrant and gay populations, even as extravagant new buildings are commissioned and erected, many of the city’s streets, cafés and restaurants remain remarkably, defiantly unchanged.

In the great local tradition of the flâneur, or thoughtful boulevard-stroller, Paris is a wonderful city for aimless wandering. Relaxed quarters such as the vibrant Marais, elegant St-Germain and romantic Montmartre are ideal for street-browsing, shopping and café-sitting, and the city’s lack of open space is redeemed by beautiful formal gardens, by the pathways and pavements that run beside the River Seine, and by endless hidden or unexpected havens. And everywhere you go, historic landmark buildings and contemporary architectural wonders remind you of the city’s pride and grandeur – and stop you getting lost.

There are over 150 art galleries and museums in the city – few of them duds – and an uncounted number of cafés, brasseries and restaurants lining every street and boulevard. The variety of style and decor is hard to beat, ranging from ultra-modern fashion temples to traditional, mirrored palaces, and from tiny bistrots where the emphasis is all on the cooking to bustling Vietnamese diners. After dark, the city’s theatres and concert halls host inventive and world-leading productions of theatre and dance, while many classical concerts take place in fine architectural settings, particularly chapels and churches. Above all, Paris is a real cinema capital, and the city’s vibrant cultural mix puts it at the forefront of the world music scene.

Gosh, with the workshop and the number of days we have alloted to it – all these things above would seem impossible to see. Let alone, find out where each one of these gothic architectures, memorable sceneries, historic restaurants and cafes’ , gay paris would not be the same without the Moulin Rouge. ( Well, that’s what my Dad has been reminding me to do… go watch it, he took my Mom a few years ago).

Again, to find time to relax, enjoy a warm cup of latte’, sit in a cozy corner and possibly write about what people are doing on this particular day. I can talk about the weather, the atmosphere/ambiance, the photos that I can remember quite vividly from my friend’s photo albums and the one , my Mom created. WOW!

Right grammar or not, you take what is there and just breeze by. That is what my writing is all about. FUN, and yet, intriguing at times. I find people, art, music and different culture such fascinating subjects.

I am sitting here at my favorite coffee shop in San Mateo, CA waiting for my daughter’s dismissal at 250pm. I don’t feel any anxiety nor any signs of feeling sleepy, that’s after clearing more than a 1,000 emails last night – and writing about some stuff.

Inspiration – that is something I find everyday and Thank God – he has given me the strength and foresight to appreciate what is exactly in front of me. That happened a while back but not too long ago – since then, my life has changed dramatically and found a new way of helping others thru philanthropy work. My goal is to be able to share what I have gone through and to be able to offer help to the under privileged and less fortunate.

I do, have some interesting projects on tap – really exciting! The people that I have been in contact with have been extremely supportive. Friends from Asia, Europe, USA and Canada – to name a few. Yeah, quite a few from Central and South America as well.

For now, I want to leave you with this simple phrase that my foster brother, Brian Thuesen uses when he ends his journal in the CaringBridge Website.

    Carpe Diem.

Just for your information, I have know Brian since 1977 and his entire family have been so kind to me during my first visit to the United States of America. He has a brain tumor that has been operated on and his case is actually a tough one.

    http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/brianthuesen

GBM – google it. It’s not fun. It’s extremely challenging to go through what my foster brother is facing every day – BUT, he is one touch COOKIE.

I’m always with you, Brian! And so are my family and friends. All thousands of them. I am confident that you will keep on striving like the rest of us even though you need to go through some tougher days most of the time.

Rest Well and Be Well and Keep Strong! You make us proud of what you are doing in your Caring Bridge website.

Feel Good, Be Good and Do Good
Good Thoughts + Good Words = Good Deeds

Love ya! mickey michael to some

  11. Truth does matter. It might cause some hurt or confusion, but overall, it is justifiable to go through the notion of knowing that what has been said is proven correct. Right on. The truth of the matter is, no matter how much you hide, it shows so just as much.
Shame is yours alone. No one knows, no one understands. There is comfort in thinking that you are alone. Stuffed inside, the burning desire to let everyone know that you are not ashamed of what has been told .It is mine alone, and all mine. Please don’t take the words out of my mouth, voices and choirs can be heard through the grapevine.
What is yours should be yours. It’s tragic but you are the one responsible and should take ownership of whatever?
You said it then, and you still say it now! I’ve got you antsy and upset. Well, you’ve got me under your skin. You are so deep in my heart that you are really a part of me and I just can’t seem to shake it off.
I’ve tried so … not to give in and said to myself, that this thing isn’t going too well and why should I even bother, to continue calling you nor writing about it.
This thing might lead to nothing, and so I hope NOT. It’s just too good not to give it a chance. Why wouldn’t you?
Because what? Deep in your heart that you are trying to resist it as well. I will sacrifice what it might take, in spite of the warning that I can sense. So, let it be! You will always know that everyday will always a day of stepping up to reality. For each time that I think of you, it makes me stop before I begin, because you got me under your skin!
Bam! Oh, now what? That’s just the sound of my jaw dropping on my desk trying to absorb what I hope to happen that will probably will never happen. For the sake of having you near me, and in spite of these warnings that you know – there is no chance for me to get you under my skin.
So, now that you know and that there is nothing more that can be said – you have heard me say it, and you have read it from my notes, what else is there to say but to let you know ——-

    I’ll see you in …….

  12. Paris in Spring time.

  13. Spirits move me, every time I’m near you.

  14. I’ll be seeing you….. through every summer’s day! But wait,it’s only spring. I’ll still find you in the morning sun. I’ll be looking at the moon but I’ll be seeing you.

  15. What a freaking life I have – come fly with me! Far and far away, let’s fly and fly away! In Buble Land? ughhh, no. Try Paris !

  16. Here’s to you – happy birthday! I am sitting here smiling like a bright eyed baby! imagine the innocence in it, the amazing and tantalizing eyes staring straight at you. You can not even feel how much joy that is coming through me and hopefully reaches you in time. You might feel the warmth and strength of the wind blowing, which shows to you that the law of attraction does work and exists.
Happy Birthday! possibly your 40th? hahaha probably not!
Who knows! It really doesn’t matter to me if you were turning 75, 80 or even 90!
It would still be the same. Your beauty lies not only upon our soft and beautiful skin, but it goes deep beyond it. Is it okay to mention about toes? OK – that’s foul. Kidding.
Had to get a laugh- can’t make this something too serious , or else? I might get you in trouble.
But, you all see – we have known each other for almost a few decades now. Companies started in the same area and almost at the same year. Coincidence? I’d do with the Law of Attraction. Look at Hotel Intercon, still standing firm and proud. We built that area! Right, Ms. ? or should I say, Mrs.?
Just reminds me of the song – Mrs Mrs Jones….Mrs Jones ! In this case, it would be Misses Misses BAM!
Extremely happy to hear from you and to know that you are celebrating it with your friends! FUN and I hope that you capture each moment and cherish them, as much as we cherish everything that should be remembered forever. That happens to be my tag line at work – Capturing the Moment.
Working with young adults, elderly folks, dealing with Grade Schoolers that are so crazy happy…every time. What a gift! to be able to remember things from the past ,it’s such a blast. If I were to play a song right now in the guitar or piano, not that I am an expert, this is the song that I would first welcome your guests…..
    Ready!
    Set!
Playing……. Sunshine on my Shoulders (circa 1974)

Why this? Why not? I see you and I just erupt with laughter for no reason that they know of but only I can understand. I smile endlessly because of your kindness to others which I truly respect. I can’t stop eating 0 hahahaha
I can’t live without you…..but I am trying real hard.
You are the sunshine in the water that looks so lovely. You are the sunshine that almost always makes me high. Sunshine, all the time – wish you were mine! hahaha Laughter of Joy or Tears of Joy – your call.

Well now, what is your birthday wish?

  17. We can make it last, we can bring it down and live it. Something keeps it going, miles and miles a day. Night after night, I’d stay by your side. When I am not in town, I still see you beside me and the mere thoughts of you just whispering this into my ears…… I _ _ _ _ U !
    My , Oh My !

  18. Testing – 1 , two, tres – testing! I arrived in San Francisco safely, good thing. Lost my jacket with my 2 mobile phones in Dallas Fort Worth airport, not so good. Looking forward to the new morning so I can get my car key from my friend who was supposed to have picked me up this evening at the airport.
Tried calling him since I arrived at 10pm pst , voicemail. My co-parent even tried calling him, no answer.
I checked my email and I got a response from him when I was in DFW airport and he said just to call him once I arrived, which was our original arrangement.
    Patience, tested/ PASSED.
My airport online status is only good until midnight.
At least, I did not bring anything perishable with me from Paris. Material things get lost once in awhile, mobile phones, etc…..hope that no one listens to my voice recorder. I am hoping and praying that someone returns it to lost and found in Dallas and hands it over to security. I also want to thank my friends who are praying that I find my lost items and that my car ride shows up.
One thing I learned from this last workshop is that , first – make sure to thank GOD every morning for a New Day. Second, make sure that family are doing okay. One thing that stands out is that, every moment does count. ( moment and second are not the same thing )
Almost midnight………. will start thinking of plan C.
I have everything in my memory of my journey to Paris so nothing to be worried about.
